This week a few staff members from Children International in Kansas City will be on the ground in Valparaíso, Chile. Hopefully, if technology is on our side, they'll be blogging stories and photos of the children and their families that they meet. And maybe, one of them just might be your sponsored child! Here are a couple of my favorite photos from a trip to Chile in 2005 to celebrate the agency's 25th anniversary. The photos were taken by Andrea Waters, who is there this week.

What a great idea! Can't wait to see the posts and thank you for the video of Valparaíso- I've wondered what the community my sponsored child lives in might look like. Now I have a pretty good idea. I can definitely see how much the assistance is needed!
I think this a wonderful idea and shows the powerful impact of how are sponsership is working for are sponser kids. I have 2 in chile and this is a big eye opener and how are blessing threw god are helping the kids.
I've visited Valparaiso a couple of times, and believe me I've never seen the side of Valparaiso you showed. It's hidding but it is there, and it's sad to see how much help they need but is comforting at the same time to know that we're doing something.
I'm very excited about seeing Valparaiso! My sponsored child lives there and it is very sad to see the conditions he lives in and also encourages me to increase my financial help for his family.
