In March, we shared with you a story about Vakeyia, a sponsored teen from Little Rock, Arkansas, who was awarded the Presidential Civil Service Award.
Voted valedictorian of her graduating class, Vakeyia shares with you what sponsorship has meant to her as she graduates and looks forward to college. As you’ll hear, she realizes that this time might not have come for her if it hadn’t been for the support of her sponsor.
Congratulations and best wishes to all of our graduating sponsored teens!

I thought I knew that C.I. also sponsors children in the US. How come when you look for children available for sponsorship, you don't see the US on the list of countries?
Robert,
You’re right – we do have a special sponsorship program operating here in the US. Out of concern for these children’s privacy, we don’t list them on our website; however, anyone wishing to sponsor a child in the US can call our Sponsor Services department at 1-800-888-3089. We’ll be happy to get you set up as a US sponsor. Thanks!
